A former Metropolitan Police officer, who resigned after it was discovered she had set up an account entitled Officer Naughty on OnlyFans, is facing a disciplinary hearing over an alleged failure to properly investigate accusations of indecent exposure made against Wayne Couzens.
Samantha Lee is said to have “failed to undertake correct investigative inquiries” regarding Couzens’ flashing incident at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Swanley and also of subsequently providing a misleading account when questioned about it.
A seven-day misconduct hearing is scheduled to start today, even though she is no longer a serving officer.
Ms Lee was initially suspended from the Met after it emerged she had posted raunchy pictures of herself on the OnlyFans account, which allowed users to pay to subscribe to view the images, according to the Daily Telegraph. She subsequently resigned.
Couzens, then a serving policeman, is serving life after he abducted, raped and murdered Sarah Everard.
It later emerged he had indecently exposed himself to staff at a drive-thru McDonald’s in Swanley, just four days earlier.
In March, Couzens admitted three counts of indecent exposure, including two at the McDonald’s restaurant.
It is alleged that despite being handed CCTV footage showing Couzens’ car, the Met Police failed to identify him and ascertain that he was a serving police officer.
One of the victims of the McDonald’s incident later suggested that had the Met investigated properly, Miss Everard’s death might have been avoided.
Ms Lee is said to have failed to meet standards of responsibility, honesty and integrity.
