Aggravated burglary suspects charged after intruder spotted at property in London Road, Stone

Four people have been charged after a resident woke to find a suspected intruder “holding a knife” at his bedroom window.

The incident happened in London Road, Stone at around 1.30am on Monday (July 1).

The suspect is then reported to have left the scene in a vehicle accompanied by others and was stopped by police around 20 minutes later in a Mercedes travelling towards London along East Rochester Way.

Dontae Garwood, 19, of no fixed address; Skye Harvey, 22, of Tanfield Road, Croydon, and two 17-year-old boys from Greater London, were later charged on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Garwood and the two teenagers were remanded to Medway Magistrates’ Court and will next appear at a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on July 29.

Harvey, who was also charged with a further count of driving without insurance, was conditionally bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on August 25.
