Seven vehicles involved in two collisions on the M25 between Swanley and Dartford

Seven vehicles have been involved in a double-collision on the M25 this morning.

The first collision involved five vehicles and the second accident which happened just behind the first, involved another two vehicles.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the accidents between junctions 3 and 2, for Swanley and Dartford, shortly after 9am.

Four ambulances and one quick-response car arrived at the scene and three ambulances took patients to Princess Royal University Hospital and Darent Valley Hospital to receive treatment.

Six people needed to be checked over by South East Coast Ambulance Crews, one of which was a woman in her 20s who suffered back pain.

No one was trapped in the incident and firefighters helped Highways England traffic officers to make the scene safe.
