You may need a ticket to ride an Arriva bus but the Wi-fi is free when travelling in Gravesend and Dartford.
The operator's Northfleet depot, which also covers Bluewater, has had its entire 46-strong fleet fitted out thanks to funding from Kent County Council.
Simon Baxter, marketing director for Arriva, said: "This is a real step forward in modernising bus travel and hopefully correcting some misconceptions about public transport.
"Whether you want to catch up on work or see what's happening on social media, you can now do it all for free while you travel."
Arriva will continue to fund any maintenance costs, with KCC's contribution coming through the Local Growth Fund.
Cabinet member for environment and transport, Matthew Balfour, said: "We are committed to improving broadband provision across the county; it is so integral to modern life, whether business, education or pleasure.
"We are keen to encourage people to make use of public transport so we are pleased to provide the funding to make buses more attractive to passengers."
