Giant ice lollies have been suspended from the ceiling of Bluewater.
The mammoth display is part of a colourful installation called Lollydays which has been created at Bluewater in Greenhithe for the summer.
The mammoth lollies are each more than 3m long and are suspended in mid-air above the centre’s Guildhall.
The nine lollies form part of a 140-metre long floral display featuring more than 7,000 artificial flowers and foliage stems including peonies, poppies, roses, wisteria, gladiolus and gerberas.
The bold display was intricately constructed in a workshop over two-and-a-half months by James Glancy Design, which has created displays for Bluewater in the past, as well as the London 2012 Olympics, London's Regent Street and Wembley, before being carefully couriered into the mall.
The lollies and floral displays were installed in the middle of the night by a specialist team using cherry pickers to lift them into place, taking four nights to complete before being officially unveiled this week.
The arrival of Lollydays launches a summer of activities at Bluewater, including the return of The Beach on July 23, featuring a sandy beach, splash pools and rides.
Centre director James Waugh said: “We’re so excited to unveil the glorious Lollydays installation at Bluewater. We can’t wait to see our guests enjoying the vibrant display, and hope to see plenty of selfies shared on social media.”
Lollydays will be on show at Bluewater from now until September 14.
