Greggs is set to open a second store in Crayford – in place of the town's Carphone Warehouse.
The bakery chain and its beloved steak bakes and sausage rolls are moving into a unit in the Tower Retail Park, near Dartford.
It was granted planning approval from Bexley council in November and will takeover the premises formerly occupied by Carphone Warehouse, which has since moved inside the shopping parade's Curry's.
The new store was also granted permission to extend its opening hours to 6am-10pm Mondays to Saturdays and 7am-10pm on Sundays.
Work is underway to transform the inside of the building and put in place outdoor seating.
A new sign was also erected outside the shop front this week.
It comes shortly after Mexican-inspired fast food chain Taco Bell took up new residence at the retail park last month.
A spokeswoman for the bakery chain said: "Greggs can confirm it is looking to open a site in Crayford, Kent in the near future."
Greggs has more than 2,000 locations across the UK and recently announced plans to open 150 more in 2022.
The sausage rolls merchant already has a store in Crayford Rd and it is understood this will be its second in the town.
