A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision near the QEII Bridge.

Police attended the accident on the A282 towards Cotton Lane in Dartford at 4.10pm today (July 4).

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.”

The slip-road was closed while the incident was dealt with and reopened at 6.45pm.

There were long queues and onlookers caused traffic to back up over the bridge.
