A gym has been closed due to a power cut.

The David Lloyd Club in Darenth Road, Dartford, will remain shut until further notice while the technical fault is fixed.

In a statement on Facebook, the club said: "Please be advised that following a power cut the club is currently closed.

"We are actively working to resolve the issue.

"We thank you for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Earlier this month it was revealed the David Lloyd Club in Lockmeadow, Maidstone, will close permanently.

In a letter to members, David Lloyd confirmed the branch would cease operating on May 31.

Nicola Rose, who runs The Hair and Beauty Boutique inside the gym was told she would have just three months to move her beauty parlour.

She has been running the boutique for 14 years, 11 of those inside the David Lloyd building, and said her business had been "overlooked".
