An unlucky dog who has spent more than seven months in a shelter is looking for 'The One' to take him home.
Jack, a seven-year-old Jack Russell, arrived at Battersea's Brands Hatch centre more than 200 days ago, and has received little interest from potential matches.
The pooch has been in the centre's care for five times as long as the average dog, which is just 35 days.
Staff at the centre, in Crowhurst Lane, between West Kingsdown and Ash, believe Jack's long search for a companion may be down to his lack of confidence in some basic life skills, such as formal handling and spending time alone.
The team have been helping Jack become more confident in these areas, so he is ready to carry on his training with a new owner.
Jack is looking for an adult-only home where he can have all the attention to himself as the only dog, ideally in a quiet location where he and his new match can enjoy long walks.

Michelle Bevan, rehoming and welfare manager at Battersea Brands Hatch said: “Despite being small in stature, Jack’s big personality has helped him capture the hearts of everyone that meets him.
"This little dog has a huge amount of love to give, and we’re really hoping that he finds his perfect match in time for Valentine’s Day.
“Jack is a true romantic and loves nothing more than a long walk in the countryside with his favourite people, followed by watching the world pass by out of a window.
"Jack is also incredibly smart and enjoys learning new tricks in return for a tasty piece of chicken.
“Jack has such a big heart and so much love to offer. He’s really looking for someone to help him work through his quirks and help him grow into the confident little dog that he can be.
"He may not be perfect, but he is definitely worth it!”
