Drivers experienced delays this afternoon following two separate incidents in the Dartford Tunnel.

Initially, both the west and east tunnels were closed following the collisions, with Highways England warning drivers to approach with caution.

One driver reported being stuck for an hour.

The circumstances of the collisions have yet to be revealed but emergency services were called to the scene.

The west tunnel then re-opened, while the east remained closed.

But now, Highways say both tunnels have re-opened but there are still some delays in the area.

KCC Highways said: "Both tunnels are now open following 2 separate RTCs. Delays remain on the M25 anticlockwise and surrounding areas of Dartford."

Police have been approached for a comment.
