Hunt for unsuspecting lottery winner

THE search is on to find an unsuspecting half-millionaire in Kent. A £534,771 lotto ticket bought somewhere in Dartford or Sevenoaks areas has remained unclaimed since November 2002.

The National Lottery operator Camelot has now taken the unusual step of displaying the amount in the shape of daffodils in the hope of jogging someone’s memory.

The event took place in Darenth Country Park in Green Street, Dartford. Camelot is hoping the idea will encourage lottery enthusiasts to rummage through pockets, drawers or any other hiding places in attempt to find the winning ticket. The deadline to claim the money is May 12. The lucky numbers were 3, 6, 8, 14, 24 and 31.
