Firefighters are stationed at a recycling centre in Swanley nearly 24 hours after a fire broke out.

A fire broke out at the Countrystyle recycling centre in Cookham Road, Swanley yesterday at 11.30am.

Three fire crews from London went to the scene and are still on the site damping down the building.

A spokesman for the company said an investigation into the fire is now taking place.

He also said the centre would be out of action until the end of the week.

There are four staff members who work at the centre and they were at work today assisting fire crews.
