Three lanes were closed after a crash on the A2 west-bound at the Bean Interchange.

It caused long delays for motorists between the Bluewater turn-off and the M25 Darenth Interchange at J2.

Congestion was stretching back to the Ebbsfleet turn-off, with extra travel time estimated at 20 minutes.

The carriageway was completely blocked briefly, but lane four reopened at 11.45am.
