Rail staff crack down on Jehovah’s Witnessess leafleting commuters outside Dartford station

Rail staff have promised to crack down on Jehovah’s Witnessess leafleting commuters outside Dartford station.

Southeastern confirmed daily checks are being carried out after the Dartford Rail Travellers’ Association (DRTA) asked if the Christian group had permission to distribute the literature last Tuesday.

Rules stipulate no balloting or leafleting is allowed on station premises with charity collections only permitted if agreed beforehand.

In a response to DRTA member Phil Rogers, Southeastern tweeted: “I’ve just been told that the staff at Dartford will be checking daily to make sure this isn’t happening.”
