Fairfield Leisure Centre will close it doors tonight until further notice.
The fitness suite in Lowfield Street, Dartford informed members of the decision today via text and social media.
It posted on its Facebook page: "In light of the unprecedented situation that we are currently facing, Dartford Borough Council has asked us to close the centre.
"The closure will be effective from close of business tonight (Friday 20 March 2020) until further notice."
All memberships, payments and lessons paid by direct debit have now been frozen.
Those who have have paid up-front for an annual or fixed term membership will have their end date extended to ensure they receive the full duration.
The centre said it would re-arrange all classes, lessons and parties at a later date.
In the meantime it has signposted home workouts via its Places Locker App where over 100 free sessions are available from instructor Les Mills.
