There were long delays on the approach to the Dartford Tunnel this afternoon following a crash.

The carriageway was blocked on the A282 Essex-bound, from the M25 Junction 2 for the Darenth Interchange and Junction 1 for Bob Dunn Way shortly after 2pm.

Lanes two, three and four were all closed but reopened at around 3.30pm.

National Highways said the road was closed due to a police incident.
