Long delays on M25 Dartford Tunnel approach following reports of accident

An earlier accident on a busy stretch of motorway is continuing to cause long delays this evening.

Long queues remain on the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 on the Dartford Tunnel approach.

According to the traffic monitoring tool Inrix, congestion begins just after Junction 3 at the M20 Swanley interchange with six mile tailbacks from the Crossing.

Sections of the A2 are also experiencing delays with traffic backed up to the Gravesend East junction.

All lanes on the M25 remain open.
