A crash caused heavy traffic on the M25.

The incident, which happened at the Darenth Interchange in Dartford shortly before 5pm, led to big tailbacks.

One lane wasclosed as a result on the M25 spur, anticlockwise from the A21 Sevenoaks Road at the Hewitts Roundabout, to junction 4 for Orpington.

There was also heavy traffic on the M2 in Faversham following a crash earlier this evening.

Police have been contacted for a comment.

The road has since been cleared.
