Two lanes now reopen at Dartford Crossing after a crash between two lorries

Traffic was being held at the Dartford Crossing after a crash between two lorries.

Highways England and Kent County Council Highways said traffic was earlier held on the A282/M25 anti-clockwise carriageway following the crash which happened near Junction 1A.

Queues did build up in the area and there was slow moving traffic on the approach to the crossing.

Motorist were being advised to allow extra time for their journey and would expect delays in the area.

It is not thought anyone has been seriously injured as a result of the collision and now two lanes have been re-opened on the A282 following the crash.

Highways officers remain at the scene while vehicle recovery is on-going.

There are still long delays on the approach stretching back towards Junction 3 in the surrounding area and motorists should still allow extra time for their journey.
