Dartford man named as victim of fatal lorry crash on A34 in Oxfordshire

A lorry driver who died after losing control of his vehicle has been described as loving father, grandfather, son and brother.

Garry Chadwick, from Dartford, died after the lorry he was driving overturned on the A34 in Oxfordshire on Tuesday, August 30.

The 56-year-old died following the early morning accident.

His wife Michelle Chadwick has paid tribute to him, saying the tragic incident has changed the family's lives forever.

"On Tuesday morning my husband Garry Chadwick was taken from us suddenly," she said.

"Garry was loving son, brother, husband and father, grandfather to us all and was loved by all his family and friends.

"This devastating incident has changed our lives forever and he will be sorely missed.

"At this time we request that my family and I, are allowed to grieve in peace and respect our privacy."

Officers from Thames Valley police were called to the scene between Milton and Marcham when the vehicle lost control.

A spokesman for the force said: "Despite the efforts of paramedics from South Central Ambulance and the Air Ambulance.

"The man’s next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by specially trained officers.

"No one else was injured as a result of this incident."

Now police are appealing for anyone with information or footage which may help their investigation.

Investigating officer, PC Shaun Nash of the joint operations roads policing unit based, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following this incident on the A34 yesterday in which a man sadly died."
