Two people have been seriously hurt after reportedly falling from underneath a lorry on a motorway.
The M20 was closed in both directions between the Wrotham and Swanley turn-offs, but has now re-opened.
A total of four ambulances, two ambulance cars and the air ambulance were sent to the scene just after 10am.
One of the casualties was airlifted to St George's Hospital in Tooting, while the other, a man, was taken by road ambulance to King's College Hospital.
The coast-bound carriageway re-opened at 11.10am after the helicopter took off.
The London-bound carriageway partially re-opened at 12.45pm and was completely clear by 2pm.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 10.08am to a report of two casualties on the hard shoulder of the M20 London-bound between Junctions 2 and 1.
"Both casualties have serious injuries.
"Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances behind the incident."
