M25 closed after fatal accident

A MAN has died following a road traffic incident on the M25 early this morning.

The pedestrian ran across the tunnel approach road, the A282 near Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford, and was in collision with a van at 5am.

The incident caused long delays with police closing the road between junctions 2 and 1a to investigate the incident.

The anti-clockwise entry slip road at junction 2 was also closed.

The Independent Police Complaints Commision is currently investigating the incident.

All three lanes of the motorway have now been re-opened.

A Highways Agency spokesman said normal traffic conditions on the anti-clockwise carriageway were expected to be resumed by 2pm.
