A major road is closed following a serious collision.

Emergency services are at the A20 Swanley Bypass after a vehicle reportedly came off the road and crashed into railings.

Traffic website Inrix has reported: “A car has collided with the barrier on a bridge section, overhanging the footpath below, just after the Quarry.”

All traffic on the motorway was stopped just after 7am and the road is shut London-bound between the M25/ M20 at junction 1 and the B2173.

National Highways has tweeted about the crash and say police are at the scene and diverting traffic via local routes.
