Traffic has cleared after a van overturned in a four-vehicle crash on the A2.
The collision, which happened on the London-bound side between Ebbsfleet and Bluewater, also involved three cars.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene just before 7am.
Firefighters helped free one person from a car and another from the overturned van. They were treated by paramedics but were not thought to be seriously hurt.
One witness described the scene as "carnage".
All lanes reopened just before 9am, but long tailbacks remained until around 9.30am. At one point, queues stretched back to junction 1 of the M2 for Strood.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 6.47am on 4 November, 2016 following a collision on the A2 close to the junction towards Bluewater.
"The incident involved three vehicles. Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue all attended the scene.
"No serious injuries were reported."
An ambulance service spokesman added: "We sent four response cars and two ambulances and checked out the patients on scene.
"One patient was taken to Darent Valley Hospital."
