There were long delays after a crash involving two cars on the approach to the Dartford tunnel.

Three lanes of four were shut following the accident, but reopened at around 3.30pm.

It happened on the M25 anticlockwise before junction 1B for the A282 and the A296 Princes Road in Dartford.

Congestion stretched back to junction 3 for the M20 and the A20 Swanley Interchange, but delays had cleared by the rush hour.

A police spokesman said officers were not called to the scene.
