Motorists faced severe delays on the M25 due to an earlier broken down lorry and a three-vehicle accident.

Traffic was queuing anticlockwise from junction 2 for the A2 Darenth Interchange to junction 1A for the A282 to Swanscombe following the earlier break down.

Shortly after 6pm, an accident on the exit slip at junction left one lane and the hard shoulder blocked.

The incident also affected the A2 coastbound out of London back to the Danson Interchange and London-bound traffic is back to the Bean Interchange.

All lanes have been reopened.
