New Look to open ‘concept store’ at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe

A major fashion retailer is set to relocate to an upgraded store at Kent’s biggest shopping centre.

New Look will be moving next to Clarendon Fine Art on the Upper Thames Walk at Bluewater in Greenhithe next month.

The 12,120 sq ft shop has been described by the brand as a “concept store” and aims to give shoppers a more immersive experience with a curated selection of products.

It will be offering a womenswear and a menswear showroom range – and the entire mezzanine floor will be dedicated to the brand’s 915 range for teenagers.

There will also be a dedicated service hub inside for customers to return and collect items.

The upgraded space comes after the chain invested £3million into its Manchester stores by trialling new store designs.

To celebrate the opening, from Thursday, April 3 to Saturday, April 5, the brand will be giving out goody bags to the first 200 customers.

Gift cards will also be hidden around the shop and a DJ will be performing.

Free treats including coffee, bubble tea, and pink hot chocolate will be given out with every purchase.

Customers who spend £50 will be in for a chance to win prizes from the in-store claw machine.

One customer per day will also be chosen at random to win their shopping bag.

Centre director at Bluewater James Waugh said: “Here at Bluewater, we are always looking for ways to elevate our offering so that we remain in step with the ever-evolving retail landscape.

“We encourage guests to visit the store across the opening weekend to participate in the array of exciting activations taking place.”

Retail director at New Look Elaine Cartwright added: “Our decision to relocate and re-design our Bluewater store demonstrates our commitment to bricks and mortar retailing in the UK and the important part stores play in our communities.

“Bluewater has been a major retail destination for some time, so showing up in this location with purpose and credibility is an important element of our retail portfolio strategy.

“Our new store will bring to life our omni-hub space, where digital and physical customer journeys will come together in real life.

“We have a fantastic loyal team and customer base in Bluewater, that I’m very proud of.

“I’m confident that an excellent customer experience will be at the forefront of what our team deliver in our new space.”
