Coffee lovers can create their own brew at a new shop which is the first of its kind in the UK.
Nespresso has launched its new boutique concept at Bluewater after a successful pilot in Vienna, Austria.
The store at the Greenhithe shopping centre offers customers the chance to "explore the artistry behind some of the world’s finest coffees".
There is an interactive taste and discover area, where customers can make their own recipes using iPad tutorials and Nespresso machines, alongside augmented reality experiences explaining the heritage and expertise behind Nespresso coffees.
A Coffee as an Art masterclass also invites customers to learn about recipe creation – from roasting coffee beans.
Specialists are also on-hand to help shoppers, offering coffee tasting and machine demonstrations and there is a lounge area to enjoy a cuppa.
Guillaume Chesneau, managing director of Nespresso UK, said: “Through this innovative evolved boutique concept – a first for Nespresso in the UK – we’re taking coffee exploration further than ever before, enabling customers to learn about Nespresso blends, recipes, brewing methods and our commitment to sustainability through immersive and interactive shopping moments that cater to evolving consumer needs and preferences.”
The store has a number of environmentally-friendly elements including table tops made with used coffee grounds and it is fully powered by renewable energy.
