A man and a boy have been arrested after a car was stolen from Greater London and spotted in Kent.
They were taken into custody after a police chase came to a halt in Lowfield Street, Dartford.
A patrol spotted a suspected stolen Ford Eco Sport in Princes Road at around 3.40pm last Tuesday.
The vehicle did not stop despite being asked to but officers managed to do so after using a stinger.
Officers recovered a knife, cash and two mobile phones.
The vehicle, on false plates, was stolen from Welling, Greater London, police confirmed.
A tweet from Kent Police Tactic Operations read: "#PTT2 sighted this vehicle in Dartford on false plates and suspected stolen. After a fantastic sting by Swanley CPT the occupants tried to run but were swiftly apprehended. Vehicle stolen from @metpoliceuk days before. Theft, drugs, money and an offensive weapon! #Stung"
Jordon Holt, of Elm Road, Dartford, was later charged with five offences, including theft of a vehicle, possession of a knife in a public place, dangerous driving and possession of criminal property, namely the seized cash.
He was also charged with a count of being concerned in the supply of amphetamine.
The 24-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday, where he was conditionally bailed to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on April 19.
A 14-year-old boy was also arrested but released on conditional bail pending further investigation.
