A man arrested in a busy town centre after a sting by self-styled paedophile hunters has been released on bail.

Officers had detained the 21-year-old in Dartford High Street at around 3.40pm on Saturday.

It comes after a vigilante group posted a Facebook Live video of the sting, which was viewed more than 100,000 times.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "A man from Dartford was arrested at around 3.40pm on Saturday, April 20.

"He was arrested on suspicion of grooming and has been bailed, pending further enquiries, until Tuesday, May 7."
