A father-of-two punched, bit and headbutted his long-term partner after a row over their dog sleeping in their bed.
David Dudley, 41, flew into a rage at their home in Dartford after he and his partner rowed about where the pet could sleep.
He punched her in the face before grappling her to the floor and then he repeatedly punched her on her thigh.
As his partner tried to get away from him, he then bit her on her thigh and and headbutted her.
Dudley, of Thirza Road, only stopped his onslaught when one of the couple's children came into their bedroom where the incident had happened.
The woman fled the room and called the police and Dudley was later charged with assault by beating.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on December 15 and admitted the offence which happened on October 2.
Elizabeth Green prosecuting, told the court the couple had been together for 20 years and had lived in their home for 11 years.
Miss Green added: "He became aggressive and angry and punched her in the face and he told her he didn't see what was wrong with it [the dog sleeping in the bed] and that it was his house.
"They grappled to the floor and he then started punching her thigh and then he bit her. She was screaming at him to get off her and then he headbutted her.
"The attack only stopped because a child came into the bedroom. She [the victim] reported the matter to the police."
The court also heard Dudley had been living his car since the incident and that he suffers with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and couldn't remember the incident.
District Judge Stephen Leake decided to order a pre-sentencing report on Dudley and adjourned the case.
Dudley will be sentenced at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on March 1.
