Dartford man charged with having a knife in public stop and search in Market Street

A man has been charged with possessing a knife in the town centre.

On Monday, officers approached a suspicious car in Market Street, Dartford, and asked the three occupants to get out of before searching them.

One of the men tried to walk away, but police stopped him and he was arrested following a search.

The officers also seized a knife and a quantity of suspected drugs.

David Oborevwori, 19, of Temple Hill, Dartford, was charged with possessing a bladed weapon and possession of cannabis.

He was bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 31.
