Police are seeking witnesses after the attack on Friday, March 18, which began when a man aged in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were approached by another man and woman as they sat in their car in Farnol Road, Dartford.
The male suspect, aged around 30, is then reported to have used a stun gun on the male victim’s leg through the open car window during an attempt to steal his mobile phone.
Both he and the female ran from the scene pursued by the victim, before three further men attacked the car with metal poles.
The male suspect is described as being white, around 30 years old, 5ft 11ins, of medium build, with untidy mousey-blond hair, and was wearing an all-black tracksuit.
The female who accompanied him is described as white, in her 30s, around 5ft 5ins and of slim build. She had light brown hair which was tied up in a bun, and was wearing a grey and pink tracksuit with a grey beanie hat.
The female victim, who is in her 20s, remained in the car while it was attacked by the other men.
They are described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, are said to have pursued the woman on foot as she drove off, further attacking her vehicle in Keyes Road.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Martin Stevens said: "This was unprovoked attack on a man and a woman who did not know their assailants and it is fortunate that neither was seriously harmed. We are urging anyone who witnessed the incidents, that has not yet spoken to the police, to contact our appeal line.
"We are also asking drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV or doorbell cameras to check for footage that may assist our investigation."
Two teenage boys were arrested following the incident and later released pending further investigation.
