A 44-year-old man has died after a car crash in the early hours of this morning.

It is believed the driver lost control of his Mercedes E-class coupe and crashed coming off the Swanley interchange sliproad of the coastbound A20 at around 3.15.

Another man, a passenger, was taken to a London hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Fire fighters and police attended the scene and officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers would particularly like to speak to the driver of a black Audi who might have been stopped nearby around the same time and seen the car."
