Dartford train station was closed this morning after a man died.

An ambulance and air ambulance raced to the scene amid reports a man had suffered a heart attack on the platform just after 9am.

He was given medical assistance but died at the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “BTP and Kent Police officers attended Dartford station after a report that a man had collapsed on the platform while waiting for a train.

“South East Coast Ambulance Service medics also attended and gave treatment to the man who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.”

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
