A man, who crashed his Porsche into a telegraph pole, has been banned from driving for two years and must pay a £350 fine.
Ilya Severon, 32, of Cooper Road, Snodland admitted he was drunk when he drove the Porche Cayenee on Shellbank Lane, Bean on Sunday, August 21.
Severon's car collided with the phone mast knocking it from the ground and leaving electrical cables hanging over the road.
Emergency services closed the road for more than two hours while electrical engineers isolated the power supply.
He appeared at Dartford Magistrates' Court on Monday, September 6 to plead guilty to drink driving.
The court heard Severon had 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
As well as the driving ban and fine he was ordered to pay £85 court costs and £15 victim surcharge.
