Appeal for witnesses of crash in Crossways Boulevard, Greenhithe

A man remains in a “serious but stable condition” after being hit by a car on a dual carriageway.

Police are now calling for witnesses of the crash, involving a grey Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian, which happened in Crossways Boulevard, Greenhithe, at around 8.15pm on Friday (October 20) to come forward.

Police and ambulance crews attended and treated a man in his 30s for injuries.

He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 36-year-old man from Bexleyheath was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and later bailed, pending further investigation.

Inquiries are under way and witnesses who may have seen the crash are being urged to get in touch with police on 01474 336149 quoting reference 20-1416.

Drivers with dashcam footage are also being asked to check for anything that may help with the investigation.
