A MAN arrested following the seizure of a large haul of guns in Dartford on Wednesday has appeared in court today.

Mick Shepherd, 55, was last night charged by the Metropolitan Police with a series of weapons offences.

Shepherd, of Wentworth Drive, appeared at Highbury Magistrates Court in north London on four counts - conspiracy to sell or transfer prohibited weapons, conspiracy to sell or transfer prohibited ammunition, conspiracy to put people in fear and possession of prohibited weapons.

He was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on December 18.
