POLICE are appealing for information after a man was robbed of his mobile phone while crossing a footbridge.
The 19-year-old victim was using his mobile phone while crossing the footbridge between Olive Road and Elm Road in Princes Road, Dartford on Saturday between 11pm and 11.10pm when he was approached by a group of five men and two women.
One man punched him in the face and a second man then punched him in the back and side of his head.
The victim dropped his mobile phone and one of the men or women picked it up before the group walked away.
The two offenders are described as white boys, aged between 15 and 16. Thie first boy was 6ft 1in tall, of muscular build with short brown hair. The second was 5ft 7in tall and was wearing a dark T-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and a baseball cap.
The victim was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises.
DS Matthew Long, the officer investigating the incident, said: "This was a seemingly unprovoked attack and I would urge anyone who may have seen a group of youths, in particular two boys matching the description above, to contact the police, as their information could assist the investigation."
