A man is fighting for his life after his car hit a tree on the A2 near Dartford.
The 20-year-old was rushed to a London hospital following the crash on the Londonbound carriageway under the Wilmington Bridge at about 9pm last night (Wednesday).
It's thought he crashed into the central reservation and then veered off the road, before hitting the tree.
He suffered life-threatening head and chest injuries.
Firefighters had to cut him free from his silver Mazda car, while police closed the road. It did not reopen again until just after 1am.
