A man has been taken to hospital after an assault near a leisure centre.

The incident took place just before 11.15am this morning (July 10) in Phoenix Place, Dartford.

An air ambulance was called to the scene near Fairfield Leisure Centre.

Police and paramedics attended and a man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers remain at the scene while initial inquiries into the circumstances are underway.
