Man injured in ‘assault’ outside The Chequers pub in Farningham High Street

A man was taken to hospital after being hit in the face by a “catapult” outside a pub.

Police and paramedics were called to Farningham High Street at around 10pm last night (February 21).

It had been reported that what was thought to be a catapult had been used following a verbal altercation outside The Chequers pub.

A man sustained facial injuries and was taken to a local hospital. It has been reported damage was caused to his teeth.

His condition was understood not to be serious and inquiries into the assault are ongoing.
