POLICE were called to NHS premises in a Kent town on Friday after reports that a man was on the roof.

Officers arrived at the scene just after 4pm to find the man on the roof of Little Stone Lodge, next to Stone House Hospital in Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford.

The 36-year-old was refusing to come down and was throwing roof tiles.

He finally came down at 5.20am on Saturday and was detained under the Mental Health Act.
