Dartford suffered a second-half collapse against Mansfield Town on Saturday.
The Darts were just a goal behind at the break in the Blue Square Bet Premier match but conceded four more after the turnaround.
Adam Murray put the home side ahead with just five minutes gone but Dartford remained in the hunt.
Home keeper Alan Marriott had a busy first 45 minutes, with a great save to deny Nathan Collier, pictured, while Danny Harris saw an effort cleared off the line.
But despite having plenty of first-half possession, the Darts were unable to capitalise.
In the second half, Mansfield were ruthless and Anthony Howell doubled the lead with 54 minutes gone.
Luke Jones headed in number three after 66 minutes and Matt Green hit the fourth with 11 minutes left. The rout was complete when Lee Stevenson slotted home late on from the penalty spot, following a foul by Adam Green.
Defeat saw the Darts drop to 10th and boss Tony Burman said: “The story of the game was in the two boxes. They were better in our box than we were in their box, it’s as simple as that.”
