Metropolitan Police officers and vehicles seen in London Road, Dartford and Ruffets Wood, Gravesend

Three men have been arrested today on suspicion of supplying class A drugs after a number of raids were carried out across Kent.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Trident unit made the arrests and the men remain in custody.

Scores of officers were spotted in London Road, Dartford at 5.30am by a chauffeur on his way to work.

Justin Scrutton, owner of Justin Time Travel, posted the footage of the operation on a community Facebook group.

He said: "The vans parked up in Milestone Road and then around 25 officers in full riot gear started walking down London Road towards The Brent.

"I was surprised to say the least, I had no idea what was going on. They walked down and then turned into an alleyway."

In Gravesend, a picture emerged of three Metropolitan Police vans in Ruffets Wood although police couldn't confirm whether an arrest was carried out.
