A MISSING 12-year-old boy has returned home safe and sound after being missing from his home in Ashen Drive, Dartford.

Michael Edwards disappeared last Thursday, sparking a police alert. He had left home at 8am saying he was going to get a bus to meet some friends before heading off to school.

But after he failed to return home police issued appeals asking the public for help in tracing him.

A police patrol found Michael in Dartford on Saturday afternoon and he was quickly reunited with his parents.
