Charlton came from behind to defeat MK Dons 2-1 on Tuesday night and reach the area quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Scott Wagstaff was at the far post to put away a cross from Kyel Reid five minutes from time to earn the visitors the win.
MK Dons had made a bright start and took the lead after just two minutes when Luke Chadwick took advantage of space in the box to slot home after being through by Lewis Guy.
The Addicks levelled after the break when Dons defender Luke Howell lost his footing and allowed Reid to cross for Pawel Abbott to head home.
