MOTORISTS will be consulted on the Dartford Crossing toll fees again - but this time to determine who should be entitled to the massive discount.

Residents of Dartford and Thurrock have been promised a discount of up to 90 per cent under the proposed new charges.

But it is not yet known if this offer stretches out to Dartford’s neighbours, Sevenoaks, Bexley and Gravesham districts.

Transport Minister Dr Stephen Ladyman said: "These are details that still have to be worked out and this will be one of the points raised in a new consultation."

Dr Ladyman said he would later announce when the consultation would begin, although he hoped the matter would be resolved in the next couple of months.
