A passenger has died after a serious crash on the A20 this morning.
At around 6.55am, a white Kia Rio travelling on the London-bound carriageway collided with a barrier just after the Swanley Interchange.
Police and paramedics attended but the man, who was in his 40s, was confirmed deceased at the scene.
A second passenger was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
All traffic was stopped just after 7am and the road remains shut London-bound between the M25/ M20 at junction 1 and the B2173 while the barrier is being repaired.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are carrying out inquiries and are also urging witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
