Motorists suffered delays at the Dartford Crossing this evening.

Two lanes were closed anticlockwise due to a broken down van between junction 1a (Swanscombe) and junction 31 (West Thurrock).

It happened at around 8.15pm.

Highways officials confirmed the vehicle had been recovered shortly after 9pm and all lanes had reopened.
